PAY ATTENTION: Metallica Announce New Record 72 Seasons & Share ‘Lux Æterna’ Single

Metallica 72 Seasons

It’s one hell of a titillating Tuesday today as Metallica have come out all guns blazing and finished 2022 with a bang, a real bang! Overnight, the biggest heavy metal band on the planet have announced twelfth studio album 72 Seasons which will be released on April 14, 2023 via their very own label Blackened Recordings. The record will include 12 new songs spanning over an hour in total (77 mins to be exact).

To celebrate the album announcement, ‘Tallica have shared divine track ‘Lux Æterna‘ which is available to stream right now. The four-minute single is punchy, catchy and remarkably enjoyable. Perhaps it’s the excitement of a new Metallica album, but it sounds like we’ve got a lot of hope on 72 Seasons.

Along with the album announcement and new track, the thrash legends have also announced a massive M72 world tour, however no Aussie dates yet, but hopefully the rumours we heard recently may have some truth to it.

Metallica‘s last studio album was Hardwired… to Self-Destruct all the way back in 2016 so we’ll have waited close to seven years in between the two. When clicking through the pre-order link below, you’ll see a gorgeous initial range of collectible vinyl variants, go get that credit out out headbangers!
