Darko (US) Finally Announce Packed Second Album Oni

Darko 2022

SPITE‘s Josh ‘Baby J’ Miller and Chelsea Grin‘s Tom Barber are the ultimate hype-machine, and have been pumping up fans for the eventual announcement of Darko (US)‘s second record, titled Oni out September 26, an apparent divergence away from the rumoured title Pt. 2 Dethmask. Earlier this week they revealed the official title and promised pre-orders would be available today (which they are). The second LP comes off the back of their monster self-titled record last year, and of course their debut release and EP Pt. 1 Dethmask.

The 2022 sophomore will include the raft of enormous singles drip-fed throughout the past year, including ‘Ana‘ featuring Left To Suffer‘s Taylor Barber, ‘Come Home‘ feat. Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker (who also have new music out today), ‘Acid Inject‘ and ‘Dragon Chaser‘.

Both Baby J and Barber have already had a massive year in their own rights with SPITE catapulting Dedication to Flesh unto the world last week and Chelsea Grin announcing double-album Suffer in Hell / Heaven. The duo have invited even more friends onto the next Darko record than what we already knew about, including Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake, Kyle Anderson of Brand of Sacrifice and Shaolin G of UnityTX.

The pre-order comes with a pretty tight merch drop and there’s limited orders so you’ll want to get in there fast.
