Vatic Give Us Their Own Slice of Horrorcore with the Sinister '217'

It's been a time since we've heard from Vatic, but this metalcore outfit are set to make an impact this year with the jarring new track '217'.

The song is a killer blend of meaty metalcore riffage and haunting cleans that see vocalist Zakary Luttrell in some of his more mesmerizing work yet. Seems like the lads were inspired to create their own version of Horrorcore here, in a similar key to international heavyweights Ice Nine Kills. Luttrell shares:

"217 sets the scene around this haunted house, where most of our story takes place. There are holes in the walls and floors where bodies are hiding, their souls wandering the house, never sleeping. 217 is actually the haunted room from The Overlook Hotel in The Shining, but they had to change it for the movie so people wouldn't be too scared staying in the real 217 all together, which I thought was funny. If 217 East Mercer was also real, I probably wouldn't stay there either..."

Yeah look, after that description, we're even more excited to enter this haunted new era. Honestly, it is an insane track that is sure to sound larger than life in a live setting. Vatic have been up levelling hard since they revealed 'Reaver' a year ago, which has only made us anticipate even bigger things to come. Don't say we didn't warn you...
