The Darkness Are Coming Back Down Under For The Motorheart Aus/New Zealand Tour

UK rock icons The Darkness are making their way towards us this October on the back of their latest release, Motorheart. However, most of us are probably most familiar with rocking their hit single from 2003, ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ on our mp3 players back then, which undeniably has made frontman Justin Hawkins’ incredible falsetto almost as iconic as rock giants, Queen.

The tour will hit all major Australian cities (yes, Perth and Adelaide, you’re on this circuit!) followed by two shows in Wellington and Auckland. Their tour back in 2020 was disrupted by the very onset of COVID-19, and we were lucky enough to capture the show in Fremantle on March 11th – days before the global shutdown.

On that last tour, Hawkins shares:

Our last ill fated Antipodean excursion in 2020 was cruelly truncated. We’ve spent 2.5 years deflated. Our appetite for Rock has largely gone unsated. Well, for too long you have waited, to witness the atmosphere created, in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the United States, by us, Rock’s most underrated… and I am truly elated to announce that we shall return in October to deliver our solid gold plated ROCK – see you there!”
