Suicide Silence Returns With 'Thinking In Tongues', Last Track With Alex Lopez
Celebrating twenty years as a band, Suicide Silence have returned to the studio to record brand new single 'Thinking In Tongues'. The new single comes two years after they released Become The Hunter (our review here and interview with guitarist Mark Heylmun here), a return to their roots after mixed reviews on their experimental self-titled effort in 2017. Given the time since their last LP, hopefully we will get an album announcement soon too.
The new track comes only days after the Californian deathcore outfit announced that long-time drummer Alex Lopez has left the band after joining all the way back in 2006. The separation has occurred mutually and without bad blood. Ernie Iniguez who's also played with Whitechapel will play drums on Suicide Silence's upcoming tour. Read the full statement below:
Onto the new single! Eddie Herminda and the boys have truly shown their heavier and less experimental side is here to stay. With blast-beats and an explosive vocal effort throughout, Suicide Silence are demonstrating why they're still relevant in deathcore, particularly as one of the O.G.s. As always, look out for a scrumptious little breakdown at the end too.
