Japan's coldrain Tried To Sneak Past Us With New Song 'CALLING'

Last year Japanese metalers coldrain released single 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)' with six different versions of the song, making for a unique release. Prior to that though, it'd been a while since hearing new music from the Nagoya rockers.

Well, a few days ago coldrain shared a first glimpse of new music in 2022 with new single 'CALLING' which sure packs a punch. This comes only days after their local peers Paledusk released 'BBB'. Alongside Crossfaith and Babymetal, the Japanese modern metal scene is absolutely thriving.

Not only do coldrain have a new single for you to listen to simultaneously to reading this article, but they have also announced their seventh studio album Nonnegative, out July 6, 2022 via Warner Music. The LP is a celebration of the band's fifteen year anniversary and will also include 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)'.

'CALLING' is a hard-hitter with coldrain soaring straight into good ol' fashioned electrifying metalcore. With Masato David Hayakawa rocking a superb vocal effort, the band have encountered an ideal production style. Here's to a new era of coldrain.
