Being As An Ocean Return to Australia For Dear G-D… 10 Year Anniversary Tour

Being As An Ocean Australian Tour

The reality of international touring to Australia is still requiring a bit of a double-take, but we’ve finally gotten to that point, and boy does it make us realise how much we used to take for granted in terms of live music – we were spoiled rotten!

Lately, we’ve also been basking in celebratory tours of prolific albums within particular sub-genres that really took off in their time and/or may still be timeless. This is no different for Californian melodic hardcore outfit Being As An Ocean‘s Dear G-D… debut record, released on 23 October, 2012. Did this album mean something to you? If so, keeping reading on.

BAAO have announced an Australian tour in August via Destroy All Lines (yes, another double-take) to celebrate ten years of Dear G-D… The genre-defining band will be bringing some locals along for the ride too, not to mention a couple of outer shows as well in places like Belgrave and Wollongong (and yes, Perth). The shows will include performances by Stepson and Bloom, who’ve both been making big waves in the Aussie melodic hardcore scene – some very fitting supports.

On the upcoming celebratory Dear G-D… Aussie tour, BAAO comment:

We will be playing the greater part of Dear G-d…, including songs we have yet to perform live and a mix of fan favourites spanning the band’s career. We know these performances will be something special and can’t wait to see you all again. Here’s to 10 years and the future ahead.”

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, 7 April at 5pm local time.
