Caliban Drop Thunderous Single ‘VirUS’ feat. Marcus Bischoff of Heaven Shall Burn

Caliban VirUS review

Who’s ready for Dystopia? Caliban‘s thirteenth studio album is coming out on 22 April, 2022 via Century Media Records. We’ve been graced with a couple of awesome singles from the metal veterans like title track ‘Dystopia‘ featuring Christoph Wieczorek of German post-hardcore band Annisokay and ‘Ascent of the Blessed‘.

Like many upcoming albums, the number of awesome features is increasing, and we’re here for it. On top of the Annisokay feature, Dystopia includes guests Jonny Davy of Job For a Cowboy, and more noteworthy today Marcus Bischoff of Caliban‘s German peers Heaven Shall Burn. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve heard any new material from Heaven Shall Burn, but the latest Dystopia single ‘VirUS‘ features a nice little hellish duet with Bischoff and Caliban front-man Andreas Dörner.

VirUS‘ could just be the stand-out track on the forthcoming record – it certainly carries an oomph unheard in ‘Dystopia‘ or ‘Ascent of the Blessed‘. Caliban have stylised the track to more of a Heaven Shall Burn-esque sound and Bischoff jumps in to bring a blistering and thunderous vocal effort. It’s clear these guys have had heaps of fun with this track. With crisp production and an unforgiving breakdown, this single will leave you with sizzling residual shock.

To celebrate ‘VirUS‘, Caliban have also launched a ‘Welcome Dystopia‘ game which you can access in their Facebook post below.
