Hot Milk's Aussie Takeover is Almost Here!

When the Foo Fighters revealed full details of their epic tour in the southern hemisphere yesterday, did anyone else jump out of their seat (or bed) whilst reading when you saw HOT MILK a part of the tour bill? If you've been closely following the band for the past three or so years, their music has become the soundtrack of your life during a global pandemic while you're watching online streams wondering when it's your turn to experience Han Mee and Jim Shaw's ultra talent live, well that day is finally here.

In December, the alt/emo pop four-piece from Manchester, UK will make their maiden voyage to Australia hyping up Foo Fighters audiences for what is going to be an unforgettable show. Upon dropping their latest EP, I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I’M DEAD last September (our review here) we saw Hot Milk's best material yet. They've evolved from the upbeat, poppier elements of Are You Feeling Alive? to producing music that'll appeal to the masses in the heavy music community and beyond.

In the midst of their excitement surrounding the big news, we may have caught Han tease something a little extra for Aussie fans on her socials. She allured to those watching that outside the band's Foo Fighters shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, they're also set to play their own headliners!

Naturally, being the sleuths we are at WoS, we're pretty eager to uncover what this tour might be. Could they be teaming up with their mates Stand Atlantic for a run of Aussie shows? Perhaps they're playing smaller shows with one of the other support acts — Teenage Joans or Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers? Or, could we be seeing Hot Milk venture out with the likes of other upcoming acts, featuring one or more of the bands in our Pop Punk Class of 2022? Going off the dates of the already announced shows, we reckon you should look out for a separate Hot Milk tour between 5 and 9 December.

Either way, Hot Milk's debut in Australia is very highly anticipated by their growing legion of Aussie fans and we could not be more stoked for December to arrive. Definitely watch this space. The Good Life is almost upon us.
