Bare Bones Farewell 2021 With ‘Ivory Dusk’

Bare Bones Ivory Dusk Review

YEAH THE BONES!!!!!

Sydney-siders Bare Bones have dropped a brand new single titled ‘Ivory Dusk‘ via Resist Records to farewell 2021. The new track shows a heavier return from the rockers since standalone single ‘Avarice‘ was released last year, and could be a sign of their intentions heading into 2022.

Frontman Tom Kennedy‘s screamy vocals flow as smooth as the Brisbane river while the riff city backing instrumentals take a mind of their own creating a jarring heavy experience that you can’t help but head bang along to. Don’t get me started on Chris Blancato‘s drumming either, that man is pure fire in human form!

On the new single, Bare Bones exclusively told us:

“Lyrically Ivory Dusk is about facing your fears and anxieties head on and trying to find your peace when things get overwhelming and gritty. It’s not always easy, but sometimes you need to push through pain to get to the peace. Musically it definitely taps into our more groove metal influences, as well as a nod to the inspirations drawn from Hip Hop. Ivory Dusk is the first single from a yet to be announced EP that we will release in 2022, stay tuned on that one!”

And as they head into a new year, they commented, revealing:

“We’ve just signed on with the legends in Beats Cartel for all of our live shows, and are already piecing together a big 2022, which we are stoked on given how much of a dumpster fire the past 2 years have been for live music!”
