Headwreck Show Massive Promise on ‘Eulogy’

Oh my god guys. This one’s definitely my song of the week. Brisbane’s Headwreck have just unleashed their brand new single ‘Eulogy’ and it’ll hit the sweet spot of metalcore visionaries everywhere. This song comes out of nowhere with a blast of electronically-infused metal riffs to reignite Australia’s metalcore scene as we know it.

Alongside previous track ‘Empty Space’, the band’s stellar new track highlights the darkening contrast and effects of anxiety-based dissociation, a personal matter that sits close to vocalist Connor Hickman’s heart.

At first listen, the influence from The Amity Affliction is abundant. ‘Eulogy’ features some lush, melodic cleans that almost sounds like a guest feature from Ahren Stringer. But what will keep you hanging onto the very last note here is the band’s unique blend of electronic styles interwining with the heavy instrumentals that sees them make a huge stride in the right direction. I don’t know about you, but Headwreck have just cemented their position as Brisbane’s best breakthrough metalcore outfit.

Huge. I’m officially excited for what else they’ve got coming when their debut EP, Glamorise Demise is released next month.
