Parkway Drive & Polaris to Headline Knight And Day Festival

Well this was totally unexpected but Destroy All Lines‘ Knight and Day Festival has proven to be the surefire way to see out 2021 in style with their massive Aussie lineup of heavy/punk/rock bands descending upon Ballarat’s Kryal Castle for a New Years Eve to remember and if you’ve been following our Rolling Coverage for the event, you’d know all the info about the festival’s ins and outs AND seen our predictions – which as it turns out – were on point (especially with guessing the festival headliners!)

Parkway Drive are set to return ot the stage for the first time since the pandemic hit and they’re going to bring the heaviness in one of the most interesting places they’ve ever played in down under. Joining metal’s merry men will be Polaris who are more than ready to prove themselves as the next big band in metalcore with the opportunity to headline their first ever festival in Australia! Well done to the lads for this achievement.

Joining the metal/core kings will be a plethora of Aussie greats, spanning multiple genres and styles including (in alphabetical order) Alex Lahey, Bakers Eddy, Clowns, Diamond Construct, Hellions (performing Opera Oblivia), Justice For The Damned, Make Them Suffer, Paperweight, Saviour, Terra, The Beautiful Monument, The Chats, The Getaway Plan (performing Other Voices, Other Rooms), The Gloom In The Corner, To The Grave, Trophy Eyes, Void Of Vision and Windwaker. There’ll be something for every music taste and plenty to get you through the two days of fun and festivities.

On top of the bands playing (which is just one aspect of what this festival and venue has to offer) there’ll be medieval performances, the infamous Kryal Castle maze, dungeons, torture museums, Knight’s Towers, the Secret Dragon’s Labyrinth to DJs and multiple acoustic stages across the board. One heck of an experience and one hell of a way to bring in 2022 in fucking style!
