Covid Strategy

It’s the news we were waiting for and thanks to the recent announcement of easing of restrictions, Destroy All Lines is beyond excited to confirm that the Knight and Day Festival will proceed as originally announced. With the event already sold to 70% of capacity, we’d advise thou folk whom have been fence sitting to get organised before it’s too late! Send the ravens, and rally your banner people as now, and once and for all we wish this ghastly year to ‘Go thy way!’ See you in the medieval pit!

Horse Protection Plan

“Rest assured, we won’t be inviting the horses to the pit. They’ll be safe and sound elsewhere whilst the event is on”.

Our Predicted/Potential Bands

Parkway Drive – They signed to Destroy All Lines and haven’t been able to play a show this year.

Thy Art Is Murder – They were on Full Tilt Festival but had to withdraw, surely they can play one festival in the mean time!?

Polaris Their postponed Summer Tour kicks off at the end of February – plenty of time to play a one-off festival in Ballarat.

Reliqa – Another recruit to Destroy All Lines and a fast emerging band that’s going places. They’re more than ready for a spot on another festival lineup (not including two Full Tilt dates in BNE and SYD) so let’s see them in VIC at Knight and Day!

The Beautiful Monument, Falcifer or Vilify – Crowd favs and with members intertwined within each other’s band. All have more than proven their weight in gold and all would be a healthy addition to break in a new festival.

Make Them SufferJUST PLEASE PUT THEM ON THE LINEUP SO WE CAN HEAR ALL OF THE NEW SONGS!

Cosmic Psychos – Come on, these icons wouldn’t even look out of place at Knight and Day!

Bodyjar – They’re already in Victoria, so why not chuck them on. They’re also playing aWallapalooza on the Gold Coast in November so they’re still active in the festival circuit at least.

Caligula’s Horse – Prog Metal. Horse in the name. It’s a given they’ll be on the list, right?

Flynn Effect – Speaking of Prog, this band relocated from Brisbane to Melbourne for some bigger and better opportunities. This would be a great place for the band to start their next phase!

King Parrot – If you need a band to create tension and heighten senses when there’s Knights and jousting about, you can count on King Parrot to bring the noise!

High Tension – As above, High Tension playing in a castle would be fucking mental!

Karnivool – They’re starting to get active again on socials and had to cancel their Sound Awake Tour because of covid. Could they reemerge for Knight and Day?

Lagerstein – I know they’re Pirates but come on, booze and medieval go hand in hand with these guys in tow!

Outright – Another Victorian based hardcore band with enough energy to break down castle doors. Would love to see them come back to the heavy scene at this event.

DREGG – Medieval festivals need jesters and since Windwaker aren’t back yet, these loose units can fill the void instead. They signed to Epitaph and are just going gangbusters with new music… that they haven’t been able to play live yet!

Deadlights – Surprisingly they weren’t on UNIFY so could they be holding out for Knight and Day?

Confirmed Bands

Windwaker – officially confirmed via socials

Hellions – Playing Opera Oblivia in full (our interview here)

That’s it for now, stay tuned as we’ll be updating our Knight And Day Festival coverage whenever any news breaks or clues are presented to us about the event…
