Start a Circlepit Because Short Stack Are Playing UNIFY 2022
Everything's been coming up Milhouse for Short Stack's rebirth since they signed with UNFD and today they've just revealed they'll be playing their first heavy music festival - UNIFY Gathering in 2022!
When we caught up with frontman Shaun Diviney earlier in the year, he told us all about his excitement with the band's new home and how they've always been close to the heavy music scene, despite their direction back in the day:
“We kind of grew up listening to heavier sort of music. Not like ridiculously heavy shit… All our friends that were in bands were in heavier bands too… it was just us that we were super pop, everyone else we hung around [with] were kinda, they were actually in cool bands… We grew up playing shows with [Tonight Alive] them, the boys in Hellions when they were The Bride, we played shows with them.”

Short Stack have also been inspired by a couple of bands that have previously headlined UNIFY, so their inclusion on the lineup was always going to happen at some point:
“When the chance came to sign to UNFD, they championed Architects and Amity pretty hard, we were like ‘well that’s pretty sick’, that’s kinda where we’re drawing a lot of influence at the moment”
Chances are this'll be the feel-good performance of the weekend - especially with their latest upbeat (and heavier than previously released) singles 'Burn You Down' and 'Live4' - combined with their back catalogue, it's gonna be one hell of a time and you know it!
Much like the viral Wall of Death during The Veronicas performances of 'Untouched' at Good Things Festival, let's officially motion the idea of starting a #SwaySwayCirclepit when the Budgewoi boys play their infamous commercial radio brainworm at the festival.
The lineup is announced tomorrow morning at 8:40am with tickets going on sale from midday alongside a very special livestream event hosted by our very own bossman Browny!
