Times of Grace Offload New Single ‘Medusa’ Off Forthcoming Sophomore Album

Times of Grace are back, and we’re all still recovering from the hangover of excitement when they recently returned to our streaming platforms with their first single in a decade The Burden of Belief from upcoming record Songs of Loss and Separation coming out on 16 July via Wicked Good Records. Well, only weeks later they’ve already released another track from the band’s second LP – it’s titled ‘Medusa’ and it’s a bloody heavier than the last track we heard.

Jesse Leach and Adam D are clearly loving their new album campaign equally to fans, given the response from their recent album announcement, and they’re continuing to pour that energy in. ‘Medusa’ sounds closer to Times of Grace‘s typical sound that we heard on The Hymn of a Broken Man. Groovy riffs get us started with a slower pace but similar tuning to that of Killswitch Engage, as we hear a bellowing ‘yeeeahhhh’.

The song continues with dramatically slow pace, with perpetuating heavy vocals from what sounds like both Jesse and Adam. The verses are slowed right down as the drums pick up in volume and the band is definitely getting in their groove. ‘Medusa’ definitely feels more like a deeper cut into the album than interlude ‘The Burden of Belief’. Whatever you do, do not cut listening to ‘Medusa’ early as the boys get heavy in the closing couple of minutes, are you’re going to bloody love it.
