Calling All Captains Are Back Swinging with New Single 'Tailspin'
Canadian pop punk five piece Calling All Captains have been hiding away in the western Canadian wilderness during COVID (I'm a tad jealous — shout out to my ol' stomping ground in BC & Alberta!), but they're about to spin everyone on their heads..or tails. The boys have just unleashed a heated new single 'Tailspin' and this one will hit you in all the right places.
'Tailspin' has finetuned the angst the band brought us on debut EP, Nothing Grows Here and have evolved their emo melodies by arousing our ears with chuggier riffs and catchy singalong lyrics along the lines like:
"But I’m falling fast and I know for sure // That I’ll never get back what I’m looking for."
This track will straight up have you on your feet and throwing a mosh in your bedroom. While those heavier elements might be slightly influenced by a certain Beartooth frontman (fun fact — Caleb Shomo has mixing/mastering credits!), this song has steered Calling All Captains towards a more prominent musical direction and I am so excited to hear what else they've been cooking up!
