Make A Date with Alpha Wolf’s Almost World Tour Documentary

Whatever your plans are tonight around 8:00pm AEDT, you better cancel them and check out Alpha Wolf‘s Almost World Tour Doco on YouTube! The film shows the band as they hit the worldwide stage on the back of their Fault EP, including headline shows across Australia (our Melbourne coverage here), support slots for August Burns Red and most recently, PolarisThe Death of Me Australian Tour.

On top of those dates, the band also visited France, Germany, China, Japan, Poland and, well, a shitload of places (full dates below) BUT it all came to a crushing end when COVID hit and stopped them in their tracks.

On the documentary, the band says:

In 2019, We released our EP ‘Fault’ and embarked on what was meant to be a world tour consisting of well over 100 shows. We played 77 shows before Covid-19 ceased touring for the entire world.

A film put together by us, for you.

As a band who have fought so hard to make it where they are, you can only imagine the emotions running through them when the pandemic hit and stopped their touring completely. This movie is set to show us what happened at that moment and how determined these guys are to have their name recognised as they stepped the fuck up with their battle for world domination.

Alpha Wolf’s Sabian Lynch on the Fault Tour in Melb, Australia (2019)

The film, yes it’s a film, was edited and directed by the band’s very own shredmaster Sabian Lynch and if you’ve been keeping an eye on this guy’s visuals (when he’s not thrashing about on stage) you’d know he’s turning into quite the movie and promo video maker!

On the conception of this outing, Sab revealed to Wall of Sound‘s Paul ‘Browny’ Brown:

Spirit Breaker is a film that almost put itself together, I was always making sure to film our touring over time but never had an end goal for it. It wasn’t until Covid19 decimated the touring world that I knew I had a story to tell as I’m sure every musician has their own. But this is our story of our highest of highs and lowest of lows during touring, documented in a mostly fun format.

And, as a budding videographer, he discussed the challenges he faced while filming:

We all had to film ourselves during the big lockdown as I chipped away at the editing process. Quickly learning how big of a task i’d taken on, I had to adapt and put in countless of hours for the final product, it’s not Parkway Drive: The DVD, but it’s the Alpha Wolf story of when we almost toured the world off of a 6 track EP. Directed, filmed (mostly) and edited by myself, keeping it as DIY as we always do. We hope you can enjoy and be inspired by what I’ve put together.

Can’t fucking wait. You better tune in, or you’re a poser!
