In 2019 they played their debut show and blew our minds in the process! Then LUNE followed it up with their Ghost EP (out our review here) and have since been gaining mad props all over the board for their own take on metalcore and it’s only going to be a matter of time before they’re playing with the big boys and girls!
We grabbed frontman Nathaniel Smith for a look back at the year that was, the music that he frothed over and what’s next for the Melbourne lads…

LAST GIG YOU PLAYED BEFORE COVID
The last show we played before Covid was on January 26 to raise funds for the bushfire relief. Unfortunately when the lockdown hit like a lot of bands we had to cancel our entire year of touring. With this being said we are very excited to play songs from the Ghost EP and some new material across Australia on the Conduit Tour with Gravemind and Pridelands in 2021.
HOW DID COVID/LOCKDOWNS AFFECT YOU/YOUR BAND?
We had very big plans for 2020. We had a full year of touring planned, which for obvious reasons could not be, before the first lockdown we were in the pre-production stages of a music video for the song Modern Bones off of our EP Ghost.
BIGGEST THING YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF IN 2020
Personally, I’ve learned to trust in my ideas and how I can better communicate these ideas (either musically or visually) to my bandmates to make into something tangible and we are very excited about the new material we have been working on through this time.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2021?
In 2021 we are very excited to get back into playing some shows and touring, we hadn’t even released the EP at the time of our last show before the lockdowns and we were absolutely blown away with the response we had received from those shows, so we are very excited to play these songs for you all now that you’ve all heard Ghost and we are very keen to show you some of the new material we have been working on.
