BIGSOUND 2020 Is Confirmed!

The Australian music industry’s biggest event, BIGSOUND is set to return this year across two nights on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd October. This year’s 2-day program will take over 10 venues across Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley precinct, following all social distancing guidelines. QMUSIC CEO Angela Samut highlights:

“BIGSOUND has been the leader of conversation and discovery in the Australian music industry for over 18 years and this year we will be forging ahead with a recovery-focussed festival.

With the culture of our industry under threat from COVID-19, our industrial culture under scrutiny as we face head-on the structural inequities for women, LGBTQI+ and First Nations people, and our culture as a nation under the spotlight as global trends put even more pressure on local artists and local stories, never has it been more essential for BIGSOUND to proceed and succeed.”

You can bet on our lives that you’ll see us all over this year’s event in October, as we did in previous years. Last year we saw the likes of Reliqa, Wither and The Gloom in the Corner take to the BIGSOUND stages and we are pretty fuckin keen to see which bands steal our hearts this year!
