Kill the Lights Sign to Fearless + Release New Single 'Shed My Skin'

Last year, we dropped the news that former Bullet For My Valentine drummer Michael 'Moose' Thomas had formed a new supergroup called Kill the Lights. Fast forward 12 months and the band have made a line-up change and signed onto a new label. Bassist Davey Richmond (of Glamour of the Kill) has decided not to continue with the band's next chapter - that is, signing on with Fearless Records!

Their new single 'Shed My Skin' is an insane metal track that feels very much like Bullet For My Valentine's more classic collection of songs and is most guaranteed to get in a decent headbangin' session.

On the new song, frontman James Clark says:

"'Shed My Skin' is about accepting the 'real' you and being comfortable with yourself... It's about understanding that we are all broken and we are all flawed. We need to stop struggling in silence and need to reach out and ask for help before it's too late. I personally struggle with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues, and some days life can be too much and I'm ok admitting that — because that is the true me. As the lyrics say, 'I'm not bleeding. I'm just broken, and ready to shed my skin.' We are all the same — I am you."

There's no word yet on an album from the band, but seeing as they've now signed a deal, the album news is certainly pending. Stay tuned for more!
