The 2020 Heavy/Rock GRAMMYs Winners are…

The 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards have just taken place over in the States and now we get to look at who scored themselves a win from the rock/heavy music categories and did they cook it again this year? Well, take a look...
Best Metal Performance
This year we saw the likes of Candlemass featuring Tony Iommi 'Astorolus – The Great Octopus' taking on Death Angel 'Humanicide', I Prevail 'Bow Down', Killswitch Engage 'Unleashed' and Tool‘s '7empest'. My prediction was for Tool to takeout the award OR for I Prevail to get in last minute and score the fancy heavy doorstopper...
The Winner: TOOOOOL

Best Rock Song
Tool were favs again for Best Rock Song competing against The 1975, Vampire Weekend, Gary Clark Jr. and Brittany Howard.
The Winner: Gary Clark Jr. for 'This Land'

Best Rock Album
Bring Me The Horizon were my tip to take out the GRAMMY for amo (their second nomination ever) but with competition like Cage The Elephant (Social Cues), The Cranberries (In The End), I Prevail (Trauma) and Rival Sons (Feral Roots) it was going to be hard, especially with the chances of The Cranberries scoring a posthumous award for frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan‘s final vocal recordings prior to her passing in 2018.
The Winner: Cage The Elephant for Social Cues

What do you think? Did they nail it OR should they try again next year! With plenty of heavy albums on the way, it'll be interesting to see who scores a nod at the end of the year...
