Wall of Sound presents: “2019 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by Wall of Sound Writer Ricky Aarons

Ricky is always sniffing around on Friday mornings for fresh albums, surprise tunes or long-awaited drops. Though his nepotism leans towards deathcore, he doesn’t stray too far from mainstream metal and a fair few big names to interview throughout the year. This year, Ricky’s been busy focussing on something a little different though – he launched Ride the Lightning: Metal Spin Class, much to the approval of metalheads in Melb! What a year it’s been. Here’s what made 2019 for Ricky…

NEXT BIG BAND TO WATCH IN 2020?

Crystal Lake – Depending on how deep you are in upcoming music, this band name may be either obviously familiar or completely unknown. They have been crushing it overseas and this Japanese band are yet to visit Australia and blow some minds away (until we see them supporting Polaris in Feb). I’d be looking out for these guys in 2020.

MOST ANTICIPATED ALBUM IN 2020
