Slipknot unveil new kid-friendly masks ahead of sixth studio album's release

As Slipknot gear up for the release of their sixth studio album and incredible Australian Tour alongside the one and only Metallica, attention has turned from the negativity of Chris Fehn's departure and to the future which includes their new masks.
Perhaps the biggest news of the year reveals the band have stated they're heading in a more kid-friendly approach so they can widen their target audience to not only the rebellious young adults and angsty teens who thrash their music on the day, but to the naughty, fear mongering, tiny maggots in primary schools across the globe.
Really couldn't believe the words when I read them this morning but bands are always looking at ways to progress their sound and direction and, as long as they don't lose that uniquely heavy Knot vibe, it'll still sound good.
I reckon they've got the potential to pull it off, especially if a few of the songs on the forthcoming release focus on a more melodic and slower balladesque approach, much like what they did with 'Vermillion Pt. 2' back in the day.
Let's face it, the music world is constantly changing and with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon completely changing up their style on their latest release amo, it's evident that musicians are seeking alternative ways to showcase their abilities and bring in potential new audiences.

Fans will either love it or hate it, but one thing that is certain is there'll be a whole bunch of new maggots out there hearing the vocals of frontman Corey Taylor for the first time and being a father himself, he'd know exactly what the kids of today are frothing over in the musical world so it's no surprise the idea came from him.
Outside of the band, Corey is the father of three children, Griffin Parker Taylor, Aravis Taylor, Angeline Taylor.
Other members within the Slipknot family are also dotting Dads these days too so the fact they can all come together for a concept that'll not only be ideal to their mass array of fans (who, mind you, may all have kids of their own), but their own households as well. And at least the masks aren't as intimidating as some of their from the past...
Love the idea or hate it, it's happening and your first glimpse of the new masks can be seen above, as you would have no doubt come across if you're here...
Slipknot's new album is scheduled for release on Friday, August 9th, 2019, that's a given fact already. No word yet on the title but before you move on, you should probably check out the first letter of every paragraph you just read...
