As Slipknot gear up for a huge year with the release of their 6th studio album in August and forthcoming tour with Metallica in Australia, some big news had come out following the revelations percussionist Chris Fehn was going to sue the band over allegations he wasn’t being paid properly over the years he had been touring with them.
Frontman Corey Taylor responded on Twitter to the allegations (as he does best) stating:
You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
Long Live The Knot.

Since then, the following message has appeared on the band’s website indicating Chris has been removed from the band
Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life. Long Live The Knot.
Big news. Especially now the album has a release date of August 9th and tours booked in, not only here but across the globe.
