Evanescence finally returning to Australia in 2018

The last time we saw Evanescence on our shores was wayyy back in March 2012 when they brought Blaqk Audio (feat. Davey & Jade from AFI) along for the ride and they were rumoured to appear on the Soundwave 2015 lineup but alas that never happened, but now we’re finally gonna see the nu-metal legends touring Australia in support of their new album Synthesis which is out November 10th via Sony Music Australia.

Performing the record start to finish with a live orchestra and electronic programming,

“The recording is very much tied to the live experience we want to create,” says frontwoman Amy Lee“I’m anxiously excited to play some much more involved, challenging piano for the show, and to focus on singing live more like the way I do in the studio. Members of the band won’t just be accompanied by the orchestra, but will be embedded in the joined ensemble as a single unit, a presentation that marks the performance as a true theatrical event, again synthesizing the experience of seeing a classic orchestra in a theatre and a band.”

The band will reach our shores in Feb visiting the East Coast Only with 2 Shows in Sydney.
