Green Day’s American Idiot Musical scores 2018 Aus Tour with Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson
Having already completed a successful stint in Brisbane alongside The Living End‘s Chris Cheney, Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson will return to the role of St Jimmy in 2018 as Green Day’s America Idiot Musical will make it’s way around the country kicking off in Sydney on January 11th.
The story is about three friends searching for meaning in a post 9/11, Trumpian-suburbia, discovering love, loss, drugs, sex and rock and roll along the way and features every song off the American Idiot album + a few extras from their follow up release 21st Century Breakdown.
Phil only just wrapped up an monstrous reunion/anniversary tour with his Grinspoon bandmates and will finish 2017 off by touring with the likes of Kram from Spiderbait, Tex Perkins of The Cruel Sea, Tim Rogers of You Am I and Chis Cheney for Easy Fever, a dedication to Easy Beats & Stevie Wright.
