2016….’The year so far’

We’ve just about hit the half way mark of the year and what an awesome 6 months of music it has been in the world of ‘heavy’ music! From the legends in metal, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath touring Australia to some killer new albums in all genres to the re-formation/re-alignment of bands (Ac/Dc, Guns ‘N Roses, Blink 182).

We asked a handful of our writers and photographers to come with their Top 10 albums so far for 2016 and what they are most looking forward too for the rest of 2016. Some interesting picks and sure to evoke some arguements. Will they change much by year’s end?

Enjoy!

“I’m very interested to hear what Every Time I Die come up with on their Low Teens album. Their first single, “The Coin Has A Say” had elements of their earlier/heavier stuff and that made me very moist when listening to it.”
