Wall of Sound presents “2015 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by Satellites’, Mitch Chamberlain
Brisbane’s punk rock quartet, Satellites enjoyed some plaudits in 2015, playing as support for Motion City Soundtrack as well as The Story So Far/ Man Overboard and Real Friends. Inbetween a host of local shows and a festival slot on Brisbane’s El Grande, the band also managed to record and release a new track, ‘Glass Jaw’.
What’s next for Satellites?….we’ll have to wait and see, in the meantime, check out vocalist, Mitch Chamberlain‘s take on 2015’s best as Wall of Sound‘s ‘Year in Review’ heads towards it’s finale!

BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF 2015?
Yelawolf – ‘Til’ It’s Gone’
The narrative isn’t particularly strong; I just really vibe the clip… and the song rules.
BEST GIG YOU CAUGHT IN 2015?
Citizen were dope. Me and a couple pals had been hanging to see them for quite some time. PVRIS were impeccable, also.
MOST MEMORABLE GIG YOUR BAND HAD THIS YEAR?
Memorable… Motion City Soundtrack was the biggest crowd we’ve ever played to, so that was memorable haha. The Story So Far/ Man Overboard ruled though. I’m a huge fan of both those bands.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2016?
A little more understanding in the world.

NEXT BIG BAND IN AUSTRALIA?
Stepson. There are many amazing Australian bands that I see achieving varied forms of “success” in the future, but Stepson really stand out to me. Suss their track, “This Is How It Feels”. Certified Banger!
Cheers to Mitch for his 2015 best of!
