Wall of Sound presents “2015 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by Sensaii’s Christopher Burt
Focusing now on a Brisbane post-hardcore band we believe will be making their mark in the scene very soon by the name of Sensaii. The band formed back in 2013 and features former and current members of The Amity Affliction, Take Us To Vegas and Tyrants! This year they scored themselves an opening slot with Funeral for a Friend and Sydney’s Hand of Mercy and are currently working their debut album “Renegade” which is expected to be released in early 2016.
They’ve already built a strong following in Brisbane so its only a matter of time before the rest of the country jumps on board. We grabbed gutarist/vocalist Christopher Burt for his thoughts on Wall of Sound’s 2015 Year in Review…

BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF 2015?
Coldplay – ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’
BEST GIG YOU’VE SEEN 2015?
Funeral for a Friend at The Brightside, Brisbane. Had been a fan of the band since the early 2000’s so it was a long time coming
BEST SHOW YOUR BAND HAS PLAYED THIS YEAR?
I think that’d have to be when we went up north to play a fairly low key regional show in Gympie (QLD) and had fairly low expectations, turned out to be one of the best shows we have played to date where the crowd interaction was insane and the whole room was singing along to the songs on the Ep which had only just been released at the time.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2016?
I am looking forward to getting our album out and hitting the road with new songs, I’m also looking forward to seeing some bands that have announced tours here in Oz in early 2016 that I’ve been hanging to see for years.
NEXT BIG BAND IN AUSTRALIA? (not your own haha)
I think the next big thing to come out of Aus will be the lads in Young Lions, I’m a huge fan of their music and they seem to be making all of the right sounds in the right places. I’d be keeping a firm eye on these guys in 2016.
Massve thanks to Sensaii‘s Christopher Burt for his contributions.
