What’s better than a Pennywise tour? A 20th Anniversary Tour of their 1995 release “About Time” and the boys are bring it back to Australia in September with some really good mates. Flashing back the album “About Time” was was laced with positively inspitational songs such as Every Single Day and Try to name a few as well as a scathing look at society through the lyrics of Perfect People and Same Old Story. It was one of the only albums that truely represented the 90’s melodic hardcore scene and paved the way for many of the bands we know and love today.
You can also expect to hear songs from 2014’s album “Yesterdays” which included proper recordings of their songs which were written in their early days, bringing back all the feels of your rebellious youth when you wanted nothing more than to skate, party and thrash their music over and over again. Those songs on Yesterdays were recorded onto cassette tapes during rehearsals and never really became anything, until now.
You can expect a stack of nostalgic sing-a-longs and moshing when Pennywise return with the equally awesome Anti-Flag. Tickets are on sale July 14, get yours hands on them here
Until next time, rock the fuck out
