ZUKØ Round Out The Year with Riffs and Blasbeats-A-Plenty On 'Venom'
We last heard from Brisbane/Meanjin band ZUKO back in October when they dropped their impressive single 'Absence' unto the world and since then we've been waiting for what would come next... and the day hath arrived!The lads return with 'Venom', a riff-filled assault on the senses that will without a doubt invoke chaos at their next shows. JordanBellchambers' steps up tenfold on the drums, creating tension with each blastbeat while frontman Jesse Hudson (excuse the pun) spits venom into the mic which is not only relatable AF but hits juuuust right for when you can't find the words for someone who has wronged you.'Spitting venom over my way / Push the blame when you can't relate ay / But you know better than to fan the flame / When you can't take the heat'

On the new song, the band shared:
'Venom' is about toxicity, Dealing with toxic people and being pushed to your breaking point. Unfortunately everyone at some stage of their life will have someone around them who falls into that category whether it’s a partner, family, neighbour or coworker. 'Venom' is an energetic cathartic release of that breaking point. The song has a fun bouncy groove to it while letting alot of hatred and negative feelings out showcasing an equilibrium of emotions.
As for their year and 2024 plans, the band also revealed:
The reaction to our music has been amazing. We cannot wait to hit the ground running in 2024 with more brand new music and hitting as many spots in the country as possible!
