Wage War Lay The Smackdown on Newest STIGMA Single, 'Tombstone'
I love the sound of entitled keyboard warriors eating their words...When WageWar kicked off the campaign for new album STIGMA with 'Magnetic', they were met with backlash from "fans" and critics for appearing to go soft. We got to chat with the band all about the experience and how they're - "damned if they do, damned if they don't" - when it comes to dropping music in this day and age of expectations. Check out the full interview here.https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nroGq1K0XVIThe second single 'NAIL5' upped the ante momentarily, but now the boys are back with 'Tombstone' and oh to be a fly on the wall when those naysayers hear this one.Commencing with a daunting drum and guitar combo the track opens up with bellowing screams and ominous synth accompanying Briton as he belts out some of the tastiest growls and gutturals he's got in him. Plenty of chuggy riffs and cymbals create an overall feeling of danger as we're lead to the breakdown - and you better believe it's chunky and full of Pantera-esque riffage that'll please even the harshest of critics.Backstage at Knotfest, we also got chatting about songs from the album the band can't wait for people to hear and 'Tombstone' was a big one that lead vocalist BritonBond and rhythm guitarist/clean vocalist CodyQuistard both agreed they're keen for people to hear.
"It's wild! It's just a wild ride," confirms Briton. "It is probably the craziest Wage War song of all time. It's an absolute ripper" adds Cody.

With just over a month until STIGMA lands on streaming platforms (physical copies drop Sept 6th via FearlessRecords) we've barely scratched the surface of what WageWar are sitting on with their fifth studio release.But take it from the band themselves, as Cody revealed before wrapping up our time together:
"I truly feel like we've made the best Wage War record to date. It's everything that we've ever done, plus more, all on ten. We put a lot of time into it. I think it's gonna be a big one."
