The new TOOL album is coming. We know this, you know this and the band knows it too, but they also know much more than what we do about the tentative date of August 30th which they flashed up on stage during a show back in May which sent fans wild assuming that's when their new album would drop. However, fast forward a couple of months and we still haven't had any other information given to us. Not even a press release confirming that's even what will be happening on the date! They've only just unveiled their new logo, but that's, LITERALLY, it.

Now, we know Tool like to tease and joke around with their fans, especially when it comes to something so huge like this highly anticipated album, so who knows what could really be happening on the day (we'll have to wait to find out officially) but until then, us here in the WoS Office had a laugh about some of the possibilities the guys could be unveiling to the world that would either be on brand with the band or what could totally throw us, yet again, for getting out hopes up... #7 - A New Music Video
But not just any kind of video, one that fans can only watch in 360° Virtual Reality so we can really immerse ourselves inside the visuals whilst looking around, unlike the way we watch music videos nowadays like plebs...

#4 - An EXCLUSIVE, One Time Only, TOOL Tool Wrench Set.
Just in time for Father's Day on Sunday September 1st (well here in Australia it is) and since the Foo Fighters missed a golden opportunity to buy into this hilarious merch idea with 'Monkey Wrench', Tool shouldn't pass up such a chance.
#3 - A Brand New Song + New Album Details
Already this year, the band has been performing two new songs live. One is called ‘Descending‘ and the other is ‘Invincible‘. Both are yet to be released as studio quality versions which means that we could be seeing one of these get a proper release on the 30th along with a video maybe.

#2 - A New Alcoholic Beverage from Maynard's Vineyard.
Maynard James Keenan's Caduceus Wines released a new line of sparkling wine in a can not too long ago called Puscifer Sparkling Garnacha and maybe, just maybe, he'll be unveiling a new Tool based beverage product. Think classy, sparkling wine with gold flakes and oozing colours that when shaken up result in a kaleidoscope effect in your glass... I mean, it's not totally absurd, but it could happen.

#1 - A Surprise Album Drop
The most logical answer is that the guys will chuck a surprise album release and unveil their album at midnight on August 30th, in store and online on all of their music streaming platforms (which they've just started allowing previous albums to be uploaded to). Its been a long 13 years since the release of 10,000 Days (and to be honest it's felt like 10,000 years since we last heard a new studio quality song) so if we were betting men, that's what we'd chuck a sneaky fiver down for...
However, being Tool, always expect the unexpected and stay tuned for more with us once it (or ANYTHING) has been announced.
