Australia's love affair with Every Time I Die is a special one, the band first made their appearance down under with Parkway Drive supporting in 2005 followed by memorable sets at Soundwave Festival 2009 and since then we've welcomed the band of brothers and others back with open arms each and every time. It's not often you find a band with such charisma as the Buckley Brothers (Keith and Jordan) alongside their macho man friend guitarist Andy Williams and the everchanging lineup of larrikins like bassist Stephen Micciche and new drummer Clayton Holyoak.
Shinfo aside, the Buffalo boys were announced Exclusively as part of the four band replacement for I Killed The Prom Queen at UNIFY Gathering 2019 and we can't wait to catch them live in action again, the only way to do it is by grabbing tickets here and heading to Tarwin Meadows in January. Until then we're counting down the Top 7 Every Time I Die Moments, starting with...
#7 - Putting 'This Guy' in their Music Video
It's not every day you get to make it in one of your favourite band's music videos but back in 2010 when ETID toured Australia on the Boys of Summer Tour, they stopped by a Gold Coast All Ages venue and put on one hell of a show for us all. At the end of the night, their videographer was sitting alone trying to get some footage of fans and this guy (me) drunkenly strolled up declaring his love for the band. Yes, I said All Ages. Yes, I was drinking beforehand. No, I didn't coward punch or haymaker anyone. But the end result came a few months later when their video for 'The Logic of Crocodiles' received an Aussie remake and guess which fat mess appears at the start of the video dropping a massive C bomb? You guessed it.

#6 - Jordan Buckley's spit saved a fan's life
Let's hope this doesn't start a trend of fans lining up to get spat on, but JordonBuckley shared a story on Twitter about how he accidentally sprayed beer in a fans eye when he spat it in the air during one of their shows. She went to the doctor, as it was still bothering her the following day and she was worried it was infected. Tests were conducted and it turns out she didn't have an infected eye, she had a fucking BRAIN TUMOR. If she didn't go to the doctors when she did, they may not have noticed it prior. Medical teams were able to perform the life-saving surgery and remove the tumour before it got any worse... HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT.

#5 - Keith Buckley takes on Nazis
Earlier this year frontman Keith Buckley made international headlines when he stated "SLAM NAZIS AT EVERY TURN" following an exchange with a Trump supporter on Twitter. But, as expected, the metalcore frontman was supported in waves from fans and fellow musicians alike and we also support his fight against fuckwitted, Make America Great Again hat wearing bigots who can't see the error of their ways (or refuse to change for the benefit of all that's good in the world). More of this is needed in the scene, well done Keith.

#4 - Jordan attempts to be the last musician to ever play Warped Tour
As Vans Warped Tour wrapped up their LAST EVER cross-country tour a couple of months back, the Every Time I Die lads were lucky enough to score one of the final headline slots at the last show and JordanBuckley wanted to be the last ever musician to ever play the festival, so, as the band's set came to an end and the rest of the members walked off the stage, he kept playing his guitar for a further 15 minutes as stage crew and roadies packed up their around him. #3 - ETID deny stage invader's selfie ops
When a band plays on stage, it's about them, not you and the amount of 'likes' you'll get for snapping a photo with them. On a few occasions, the ETID guys have expressed their opinions on those jumping on stage primarily to take a happy snap for social media, by swiftly introducing their phones to a slap and even a karate kick.

Note to self, save the snap for when you're invited on stage with the rest of the crowd, dummy.

#2 - Keith encourages Soundwave fans to throw shit onstage
Remember back in the day when artists would crack it when "fans" would chuck stuff on stage? Well on their first appearance at Soundwave Festival in 2009, KeithBuckley pleaded with fans not to throw anything onstage during their show, only to turn around and scream, "fuck it" before encouraging them to throw as many bottles as they could. There were shoes, half-empty bottles and one very memorable experience for those in attendance at their sets.
*Note, this isn't an encouragement for you to do it at UNIFY but more of a memory for those who were there.

and the winner is
#1 - Andy Williams becomes a Pro Wrestler
Not once, but twice now guitarist AndyWilliams of ETID has followed his childhood dreams and actually achieved them. Not only is he a widely successful touring musician, but he's also a Pro Wrestler who goes under the title of The Butcher Of Buffalo and he looks just as intimidating in the ring as he does on stage.

Seriously, this bloke is a fucking machine and we can only hope in some way shape or form we'll all be able to see his abilities put to the test down under, I for one will be putting my hand up to take him on in a special challenge at UNIFY Gathering 2019... how hard could it be right?

On second thought, I nominate Ian Kenny from Karnivool...
