They've been dubbed by fans as Australia's answer to Electric Callboy, and despite how big those claims are, Melbourne genre-benders The City are out to prove they're more than just a comparison with the release of their latest heavy hitter.

'EX-PIALIDOCIOUS' is fun, full-on heavy metal madness with soaring melodic choruses lead by enigmatic frontman Vaughan Sullivan. All it takes is one spin and you'll be hooked, seriously. The new track blends both nu-metal and hard rock properties alongside a very special addition that only Aussies will know - they've included the infamous chorus-filler "NO WAY GET FUCKED FUCK OFF" to the single's heaviest sections, and it just rolls off your tongue like the unofficial inclusion in The Angels' classic 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again'.

When it comes to the themes surrounding the song, Vaughn shares, “The verses paint the picture of a relationship in full radioactive meltdown, while the choruses are a release of realisation of cutting out the negative, and emerging out of the train wreck that’s just gone up in flames.” While guitarist/vocalist Josh Nicholson adds, “It's that classic feeling of realising someone or something isn't necessarily as good for you as you may have once thought and is a down right PISSED OFF anthem”.
