PESTILENCE ‘Consvming Avstralia’ on their First Trip Down Under in 38 years
I thought they’d never make their way down under, but after 38 years of waiting, the Dutch metal powerhouse Pestilence are finally heading to Australian shores.
As one of the first major bands to emerge from the Dutch metal underground of the 1980’s with albums like Consvming Impvlse, Testimony Of The Ancients and Spheres, Pestilence have helped shaped death metal as we know it. The group will also make a stop into RADelaide's Froth & Fury Festival as part of their Aussie assault.
Along for the ride are the pioneers of Australian death metal, Abramelin, who have just completed their fourth full length studio album, Sins of the Father. Due for release on October 4th, it is an all-out brutal assault on the senses; while lyrically, it continues to push the boundaries of horror and depravity. Armed with their new arsenal and a back catalogue of stone cold classics, Abramelin are back to sonically hammer smash and destroy everything in their way.
Adding to the weight of this incredible tour is Alarum. With a career spanning over three decades Alarum are known for their intricate blend of technical prowess and genre-defying soundscapes that has helped them distinguish themselves in the Australian metal scene. With a unique fusion of progressive metal, jazz, and thrash, creating a sound that is both complex and dynamic, these legends were the obvious choice to complete this uncompromising and formidable line-up.
