Paramore Re-Emerge with 'Burning Down The House' Cover for Talking Heads Tribute Compilation
It's been a few weeks now since Paramore completely wiped their socials and any reference to their past... but today the trio have made a comeback in the form of a cover song for an upcoming compilation album.The band have taken on the Talking Heads classic 'Burning Down The House' which is the first single lifted from the upcoming release Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense. For the ill-informed, Stop Making Sense was the Jonathan Demme-directed concert film (THE concert film mind you) which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and bands and musicians alike are getting in gear to help join the party.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rjMwSTeVeoParamore's funky rendition highlights just how eccentric the original was, but with an added flavour of uber coolness with HayleyWilliams wailing throughout with poise and efficiency. It's a stellar cover that comes close to the original and will without a doubt showcase the infectious grooves Talking Heads had on the music scene in the 80s.But Paramore isn't the only notable name on this collection - we're also going to see updated renditions by the likes of The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, The National, girl in red and stacks more.
