As the Thornhill boys gear up for their first headline tour, we finally get to hear the single the tour is named after, 'Coven', which has made its way online and into your ear holes. On the new song, frontman Jacob Charlton says
"'Coven' is about identifying anxiety and realising how much control it can have over your life... We tend to feed anxiety with fear and I think this song is about my constant battle with it before playing a show, releasing new music or meeting new people. I think it’ll be a reminder every time we play it live that it’s all in my head,"
Not that worry is needed, the boys have certainly established themselves as one of Australia's best upcoming metalcore acts and if sharing the stage with the likes of Parkway Drive, Northlane, Architects, Polaris, Make Them Suffer and Void of Vision is anything to go by, it won't be long until they're competing with the big boys on a global scale.
Their new music is coming and guitarist Ethan McCann added:
"There are some songs that are a refined take on our current sound accompanied by an array of new genres/instruments as we never want to get too comfortable in one place. I think we left ourselves fairly open to exploring some different avenues while not straying away from previous releases."
Keen as fuck for what's still to come...
