If you're not already abord the hype train for Keith Buckley's new band Many Eyes, you're missing out!

It was officially two sad years since the demise of Every Time I Die this week, but the former frontman and his new pals aren't slowing down any time soon with a brand new track for us to sink our teeth into!

Following on from the release of 'Revelation' and 'Mystic Cord', Buckley and brothers Charlie Bellmore and Nick Bellmore return with 'Future Proof' - a slow melodic jam that kicks off with rough/crunchy riffs before Keith's iconic cleans draw us in with a sense of hurt as he sings:

'How did it come to this / one last time / This continental drift / our great divide"

If you're here looking for another face-smashing moshpit-inducing anthem, you're gonna have a bad time. This one borders more on radio rock vibes with a focus on the lyrical content and Keith's delivery. Metal purists will turn their noses up at it, but for those of us who enjoy a bit of singing with mid-tempo rock instrumentals, you'll lap this up like milk from a saucer.

It's great to see Keith and co. trying new things so they're not pigeonholed as just another version of ETID - and Many Eyes will certainly be able to expand their musical horizons by switching back and forth between the heaviness in their instrumentals and lyrical content as time goes by.

Back when 'Revelation' first debuted, the band teased 'Future Proof' was coming and stated it represents the other end of the spectrum in comparison, while adding:

"UNEASY GUITARS TOSS AND TURN BENEATH THE VERSES, AND THE REFRAIN ECHOES WITH NAKED EMOTION. 'IT WAS THE FIRST SONG BACK AFTER RECOVERY,' KEITH SAYS. “I HAD FOUND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME. NOW, I’M FULLY PREPARED TO DEAL WITH ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE—ANY LOSS OR ANY GAIN. NOTHING WILL SHOCK ME ANYMORE, BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING I ALREADY WENT THROUGH.”

From there to where he is now, the only way is up.
