If you're a fan of Eurovision like I am, you'll have heard of the Italian quartet Maneskin. The band won the crown and the hearts of the public in 2021 with their track 'Zitte E Buoni', which was drenched in rock roots with its drums, bass and fancy guitar work, as well as some epic powerhouse vocals.
Singer Damiano David, guitarist Thomas Raggi, bassist Victoria De Angelis and drummer Ethan Torchio have been hard at work for the last 12 months. With a European tour – including 5 sold out shows in their home country of Italy – writing music, and releasing a great album Rush! in January of this year which featured legendary guitarist Tom Morello on stand out single 'Gossip'. They also racked up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2023, and are up for the Best Rock VMA.
Somehow in the midst of all this chaos, the quartet have today released their new single 'Honey (Are U Coming?)'. Lyrically the band have stuck to what they know best – being a little bit tongue-in-cheek, specifically 'It's not a one night stand if it turns into two' and it's everything you'd expect from a Maneskin song. The four piece have stuck to their rock roots while also being a little melancholic with a great bass line, funky drums, dancey guitar and punchy but smooth vocals.
The Rush! World Tour kicks off in Germany on Sunday September 3rd and includes stops across the US, Japan, South America, and Australia. The tour is visiting Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide with all four shows completely selling out ahead of the bands arrival in November.
