The UK's hardest working death metal crew Ingested have come roaring into 2024 with all the details of their seventh full length - and a fresh single to boot. Just over 14 months since the release of their last album - the super-solid Ashes Lie Still - the Mancunian marauders have somehow found the time between endless tours to craft their newest opus The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams.Dropping April 5th via Metal Blade Records, the new record announcement comes bundled with a crushing, tone-setting single, 'Paragon of Purity'. A perfect example of the group's hybridisation of death metal, slam and deathcore, the new tune packs in massive chugs, haunting guitar leads, flattening drum-work and frontman Jason Evans' full range of gnarly vocals. Chuck in a nasty slam, a beefy ending-breakdown and some of the biggest-sounding production in the extreme metal world and you've got an absolute must-listen for anyone who views themselves as a death metal freak.

“Ashes… was constructed in the COVID period, and the mood of that album definitely reflects that time,” the band notes, “With The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams, we wanted to bring the energy up a bit. As much as we like what we did with Ashes…, its depressive tone isn’t something we wanted to continue to explore quite as much. There are definitely some dark moments on …Tide…, but for the most part, we took a more upbeat approach to the songs this time round.”
