Infinite Exile Embrace The Shadows with Stank Face Inducing 'Silhouettes'
Following on from their recent single 'Chrome Shadows', Infinite Exile have returned with a fresh offering to complete their two-track EP Sold My Soul For Another Roll. The Perth-based metalcore quintet brings raw emotion to life with a track deeply rooted in the theme of loss.To give us further insight, the band has gone on to tell Wall of Sound:
"'Silhouettes' is a song about lost friendships. A few of us all went through a similar experience around the same time where lifelong relationships fell apart without ever really getting any answers. You go through stages of anger, grief, depression, and self-doubt while you try and understand where things went wrong. After spending months trying to reach out and fix things, it just beats you down and sends you further into a spiral of anger and sadness.
Eventually you realise that you need to move on and that sometimes we just don’t get answers. You live with the memories of these people for the rest of your life, but no matter how at peace you think you are with the situation, we all die with the regrets of what we’ve lost.”
Truly a well-spoken sentiment that we can all relate to on some level as each of us navigate the complexities of life.The new track, 'Silhouettes' sees Infinite Exile remain true to their heavy roots with copious amounts of double kicks to coincide with a 'stank-face' inducing breakdown. The collective's maturity and progression shine through with remarkable diversity amongst an ever so melodic chorus, proving that they are not one-trick ponies.
