Deathbeds Tackle Dark Thoughts With 'Self-Deprecation'

Chilling, dark and melodic are just some words to describe the sound of Canberra's psycho, gothic-metalcore party group Deathbeds. After giving us the intense single 'No Caller ID' back in November last year, the band are back with their latest track 'Self-Deprecation'.Leaning back into the djentier side of life, the track kicks off riffs upon riffs. Frontman Davey Oliver rips through the track with aggressive yet vulnerable lyrics, only brought up by the harmonisation of Kit Samin's hauntingly beautiful vocals. Just when you think the track cannot get any better, you are hit with a breakdown build-up that is a sonic representation of the overwhelming nature of self-deprecating thoughts.[caption id="attachment_180598" align="aligncenter" width="394"]

Streaming now on Apple & Spotify[/caption]Not just supplying us with a ripper song, but with a music video that truly captures the gothic vibe head-on- it is obvious to see that Deathbeds are putting their heart and soul into carving their place in our music landscape. Staying true to themselves as they do it.That's why they're this week's cover stars for our Aussie Heavyweights & Hitmakers Playlist - streaming here.
