As Brisbane's DEADNERVE continue to ride on the success of their 2023 UNTO DEATH EP; the band of misfits gear up for the release tour we've all been waiting for - which kicks off tonight in Sydney. To convince potential fans to attend, they've released a killer cover of a System of a Down classic that'll surely be worth the price of admission alone. Taken from the 2001 album Toxicity, this new rendition takes the heaviness beyond comprehension as the lads inject a contemporary nu-deathcore flavour to the mix - complete with plenty of gurn-inducing gutturals, squeals, a nasssssty AF breakdown and a cheeky BLEGH for good measure.Normally when artists cover big-named acts, they stick close to the original source, but in this case, DEADNERVE have turned 'Needles' into one of their own, dripping with new-age core elements throughout that'll without a doubt have you throwing down in the pit.

The UNTO DEATH Tour rolls through Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Melbourne before wrapping up at a hometown show to remember on July 19th. Stretch your necks in anticipation and suss out one of Brisbane's promising next-gen bands tearing up a stage near you with worthy supports Deadskin and SamePains.Suss the cover below and follow our Killer Covers Playlist on Spotify where you'll find the cover, alongside other notable releases worthy of your time.
