When we last caught up with Naarm/Melbourne boys caution:thieves, they were launching their single 'Far From The Sun' into the universe and now the five-piece is making a musical comeback with their latest offering.'NoFuture' is a post-hardcore fan's wet dream. Combining slick cleans with an impressive riff-off between guitarists Chris Meekin and Chris Lewis. Frontman Nicholas Simonsen ebbs and flows with his delivery, captivating audiences with his melodic side before opening up with some tasty screams to really give the track a much-welcomed edge.Nicholas shares with us the song's inspiration, which carries on from their previous release, turning the tables from the other perspective we first encountered in 'Far from The Sun'.
"Where ‘Far From The Sun’ was written from the perspective of the protagonist in our concept, ‘No Future’ is a view from the other side of the table. The antagonist in question is facing somewhat of a moral dilemma and continues to battle this tension of what is right and wrong.
Musically, we wanted this one to be more rocky and melodic while still conveying that tension as well. High energy, big melody and that call and response in the chorus to keep things moving."
With plenty of Dead Letter Circus and coldrain vibes throughout, this new hit will be a surefire way to kickstart your heart on your daily walk/run!Give it a spin.
