Broken Earth Turns Attention to Within on New Thumper 'Covenant'

With the eyes of the world on Australia's metalcore scene, we're starting to see more bands from down under diving into the melodic-core world than ever before, which is exciting for us because we get to uncover some of the best, untapped talent this country has to offer.
Sydney-based outfit Broken Earth are no strangers to Wall Of Sound, having been featured in the past with singles and gigs we've caught them at, but today, we're checking out their latest single 'Covenant' which vocalist Raphael Smith shares is about addressing attributes from within and coming out the other side a new version of yourself.
"There have been times in my life where I have hit rock bottom, or had to hard reset," explains vocalist Smith. "Whether that's due to addiction, depression or anxiety, there's a point I no longer recognise the person in the mirror, and with that comes the sobering realisation of who the people around me have gotten to know and the hell that I have brought along with my darkest moments."

Brooding riffs take us on a journey of highs and lows, with plenty of djent-filled breakdowns to motivate us to better ourselves instantly. The screams are crisp, the cleans soar and this could very much bet the start of something special for BrokeEarth.
