Back in April we first introduced you to the heavy sounds of Melbourne act BitterKind, who launched onto the scene with debut release 'Pariah' and now the boys are back with another heavy hitter for fans.Commencing with an eerie synth build up, it's not long before NathanDuke fills the void with distorted growls as drummer TristanKing creates further tension with his fills. The tension continues to build with VasPapadopoulos's ominous and unrelenting riffs which gives the track a menacing overall sound that just does not give up throughout the 4-minute duration. The unnerving track draws upon the process of losing someone once close to you as the band shares with Wall Of Sound:

'"The Shade' draws on the feeling of watching people that you are close to and care about slowly turning into someone that you just don't recognise anymore and can no longer have in your life because of this negative change and how its a massive loss to lose the people you care about even though they are technically still here."

It's no surprise why the lingering uneasy feeling attaches to the listener like some kind of curse, many of us will relate to the theme and attach the track to those difficult times like some kind of twisted soundtrack.

When quizzed about the reception to their initial debut, boys couldn't be more proud of it's success and alluded a bigger picture is still yet to come in the form of an EP.

"The reception to 'Pariah' has been fantastic and we are all super happy with it! Its been better than we expected and we are all absolutely stoked that people enjoy it! Very very keen for this new song and for people to hear the rest of the EP!"

BitterKind will share the stage at Deadskin's EP launch at the Workers Club alongside BodyPrison and Into The Vein on August 16th - get tickets here!
