Melbourne Metalcore Act NTH RD Set to Drop Debut EP Next Week - Are You Ready for Panic?

With the flooding in of fantastic music from all over Australia, it's hard to keep up at times - but when you find a diamond in the rough, you just gotta stop everything and let the world know. Our next discovery comes from Melbourne and they're known as NTH RD - I'm also taking a stab here but I reckon they have vowels too!

On Friday, July 22, the band will release their debut Panic EP which they state is:

"A collection of songs detailing the different stages of a panic attack response. The songs were all written prior to the pandemic, but began to take on new meaning once the recording stage began. After a whole year of lockdowns in Melbourne, the beginning of 2021 saw us finally record these songs, after being unable to write together or even be in the same room together for such a long period of time."

Those who lived through the endless lockdowns in Victoria know first hand just how hectic life can get under pressure, and now that the world is slowly returning to normal, we're finding ourselves reflecting on the past and the experiences we learned from, which in turn helped us grow into the people we are today. The band's lead singles 'Wearing Thin' and 'Worm' set the tone for the debut release, which is sure to light a fire under the butts of core fans across the country.

NTH RD also felt a similar feeling of resilience with the making of Panic, revealing their personal experiences of isolation helped craft the release, which in turn solidified their motivation and persistence to turn their stories of struggle into soundtracks for the heavy scene to lap up:

"At times, it was very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but despite this hardship, almost two whole years of isolation from each other has only brought us closer. We are so excited to finally share the songs that we’ve poured so much passion, time and energy into."
