Oh boy oh boy oh boy, the moment you've been waiting for has arrived with Bring Me The Horizon dropping their delicious new single 'Parasite Eve' which they've been teasing us about for a little while now. The song was written prior to the coronavirus lockdown, but in a weird way, the lyrical content became reflective of the world around us as frontman Oli Sykes mentions:

“Parasite Eve came from an idea to write a survival horror song, but as the pandemic started to develop, the parallels were so similar it felt so close to the bone we decided to shelve it. As time went on, we started to feel how relevant it was and that instead of shying from it, that we should address the dark side, embrace it and process what’s going on… Parasite Eve is our message of hope, wrapped in sadness and anger.”

The end result is 'Parasite Eve' which features visuals all created within lockdown and a massive step up from the band honing in on the old school vibes of early metal music videos! As for the track itself, you can kinda put this in the same family group as 'Ludens' (maybe the sibling of that banger) and it's great to see the band honing in on that sound which fans lapped up from the second they heard it. It should also be pointed out that Doom Eternal composer Mick Gordon helped Oli and Jordan Fish produce this banger, which goes to show Mick still has that incredible metal touch after all of these years!

Word has it, this is the first track form a series of EPs the lads have lined up for release so if you're digging what you hear below, there's more to come!
