It’s back! Metal United World Wide is now in its second year and this time Perth will be flying the flag. So what is Metal United?
Way back in 2014 a couple of ex-pat Germans came up with an initiative to hold an annual event in as many Australian cities as possible, one night, lots of metal all over the country. Metal United Down Under was born. Like so many good ideas from the land down under, it’s now gone global. In 2019 there are now 66 cities in 42 countries participating from Afghanistan, Algeria and Bolivia to Peru, Panama and Venezuela. Hello Metal United World Wide! Here in Australia metal will represent in the following cities: Brisbane, Canberra, Hervey Bay, Ipswich, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong and Perth.
I caught up with Perth promoter Andrew Massie of Krunch Entertainment to see what we can expect on June 15th at The Civic Hotel. Along for the ride were Brendan Preston from All This Filth and Bayview Suspect’s Shane McCrie.
